This artwork showcases scenes from a royal court, where the king and his advisors held court while their admirers, and courtesans indulged in merry making and celebrations. This created an atmosphere of gaiety and jubilation which inspired the name Mehfil . The scenes in this handcrafted , handpainted shawl draw inspiration from those same royal palaces and households from where the wearing of exclusive drapes became a status of royalty. This shawl is from the Leela collection by Shaza which features untold stories of the Divine, handcrafted for one, handcrafted by time.
